Barleda Poland plans to develop a 22-hectare area in Chocznia (Małopolskie Voivodeship) for a complex of retail and service facilities. As part of the investment, announced in October 2017, the project will include grocery stores, hardware stores, clothing and footwear shops, electronics stores, sports goods stores, and interior decoration shops. Additionally, the project will feature service points, restaurants, cafes, hair and beauty salons, as well as financial institutions. The architectural concept for the project was developed by Susuł & Strama Architects. Previously, it was reported that the local government approved the location for retail facilities exceeding 2,000 m², and preliminary development plans for the area were prepared by the Gliwice-based Arkus office. These plans included a leisure park with a retail and service area (approximately 12,000 m²), a multiplex cinema, bowling alley, gym, and restaurants. According to business registers, the shareholders of Barleda Poland include Dutch investors Lex Walter Beins and Teunis Berends (from Lex Beins B.V. and Timbookto Spain), as well as Mirosław Chmiel from Mileto, which manages a fuel station in Chocznia
