On April 24, Polski Koncern Naftowy (PKN) Orlen signed a contract worth 167 million PLN net with Budimex concerning the general contracting of a research and development center on Łukasiewicza Street in Płock (Mazowieckie Province). A ceremonial laying of cornerstone for the investment took place on the same day. The complex, to be located on a 4.3-hectare lot, is going to comprise 7 buildings with a total usable area of 8,500 sqm and a cubature of 44,000 meters3, including an office building (3,500 sqm), a laboratory (2,200 sqm) and a warehouse (nearly 600 sqm). Construction works are going to take a year and a half. As we have reported, design works were carried out in collaboration with architects Wojciech Młodawa and Sylwia Krasińska-Panek from M+W Group. ■
