Warsaw authorities seek partner for reconstruction of Emilia pavillion with usable area of 7,000 sqm

The Warsaw City Development Administration (SZRM) has issued a tender procedure concerning carrying out the "Nowa Emilia Exhibition space and city conservatory" task in a public-private partnership system. Applications concerning admission to the procedure can be submitted through June 30. The investment is going to entail the construction of a 3-level building (including one underground level) with a usable area of over 7,000 sqm on the northern side of the Palace of Culture and Science (facing Świętokrzyska Street). Over 3,000 sqm of the building's space in the basement will be used for conference, exhibition and service premises, and at least 60% of the ground floor and first floor (approx. 2,500 sqm) will be taken up by green areas (winter garden). The preliminary concept of the enterprise has been prepared by BBGK Architekci. The chosen entity is going to develop construction and detailed designs, carry out the building, and then manage it and profit from the commercial (underground) section for a period of time established during negotiations, while the recreation area on the ground floor and first floor will be generally accessible. ■
