Meritum GB will design hospital complex

Katowice Branch of the Association of Polish Architects (SARP), operating on behalf of the Gliwice Branch of the M. Skłodowska-Curie National Research Institute of Oncology (NIO PIB), has awarded Meritum Grupa Budowlana with 1st place in a contest concerning the development of an urban planning and architectural concept for a new clinical building with a surgery suite on Sienkiewicza Street in Gliwice. The investor's plans concern construction of a building with a net area of up to 26,200 sqm for up to 300 million PLN gross. The winner of the contest will also be invited to sole-source negotiations concerning the development of a detailed design for the investment. Second place in the procedure was awarded to Atrum and Domino Grupa Architektoniczna, and honorable mentions – to Heinle, Wischer Und Partner Architekci, Krzysztof Makowski Architekt, and Pracownia Architektoniczna Czora i Czora. ■
