After the appeal procedure, Mirbud company regained the contract as the main contractor for the Podkarpackie Athletic Center in Rzeszów, located on Wyspiańskiego Street. Their presented offer amounted to 193.1 million PLN gross. As mentioned earlier, Betonox initially had a lower price proposal (163 million PLN), and in the tender organized by the City of Rzeszów, other companies such as Strabag (196 million PLN), Bielskie Przedsiębiorstwo Budownictwa Przemysłowego (around 200 million PLN), Budimex (207 million PLN), and Texom (290 million PLN) also participated. The project involves creating a complex with a usable area of 11,000 square meters on a plot of 4.9 hectares, which will accommodate 7,900 spectators in the stands, a football stadium, 400-meter outdoor and 150-meter indoor running tracks, as well as long jump, high jump, and pole vault facilities. The sports complex will ultimately meet the licensing requirements of the Ekstraklasa and UEFA club competitions. The football field will be laid with natural grass and equipped with irrigation and heating systems. Additionally, the facility will be adapted for hosting concerts. The project will receive financial support from the city of Rzeszów, the Podkarpackie Voivodeship self-government, and the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. The completion of the Podkarpackie Athletic Center construction is expected by the end of 2026.
