Projekt Praga won contest for concept of student hotel

The Warsaw University has awarded Projekt Praga with the 1st place in an architectural contest, conducted together with the Warsaw branch of SARP (Polish Architects' Association), concerning the development of concept for a new student residence at the Służewiec Campus in the area of Smyczkowa, Puławska and Sulimy streets in Warsaw. The maximum cost of the investment has been established at 55 million PLN. It will entail the construction of a complex with 300 beds by 2021. The 2nd place was awarded to JEMS Architekci, and the third to Analog Piotr Śmierzewski. Honorable mentions were awarded to 4 AM Architekci (Tomasz Karpińśki and Arkadiusz Wróblewski) and WXCA. Projekt Praga and JEMS will be invited to conduct negotiations regarding the development of the design. ■
