Skanska is building student hotel with 350 rooms in Warsaw for Solida Capital.

Skanska has been chosen as the general contractor of the Shed Living student hotel, which is going to be built in Warsaw by Solida Capital (developer and minority investor) and 1 Asset Management (main investor and asset manager). Let us recall that the enterprise, to be carried out by 2025, is going to entail the construction of a complex with approx. 350 rooms. The partners during the project include Bonard, Allen & Overy Poland, Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak, Trebbi Polska, and Orion Securities. Last year in July, we reported that Solida Capital established a joint venture with Xior Student Housing for the purposes of building student hotels in Poland. The first project was going to entail the construction of a dormitory in the area of the Old Town in Warsaw, between the Polonia Stadium and the Vistula River (Zakroczymska, Wenedów streets). Meanwhile, in November 2018, we wrote that Wensa company, in collaboration with the Kazimierski i Ryba architectural office, has prepared the construction of a hotel-service complex in the area of Zakroczymska and Wenedów streets, with a development area of approx. 4,000 sqm, the height of three above-ground stories, and a two-level underground parking garage for 300 vehicles. ■
