SLAS will design AM building in Katowice

Miejscowe Biuro Architektoniczne SLAS has won a contest for the development of architectural- and town-planning concept for a building for the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music on Wojewódzka Street in Katowice. The second and third place were awarded to Konior Studio Tomasz Konior and M.O.C. Architekci, respectively, and JEMS Architekci received a honorable mention. As we have reported, the enterprise is going to entail the construction of a building with usable area of 5,600 sqm, housing a concert hall and classrooms. The investment's budget has been established at 55 million PLN gross. ■
