Budimex has been chosen as the general contractor of the 1st stage of the multi-functional Monopolis complex, which Virako is going to build at 4 Wydawnicza Street in Łódź. This stage of the enterprise is going to entail the construction of buildings B2, B5/B6, B7, "Komin" and "Galeria". The works should commence in February and take until mid-2019. Uni-Form is responsible for the investor's supervision, while commercialization is being handled by JLL.
Let us recall that Virako has purchased a property of the former Łódzkie Zakłady Przemysłu Spirytusowego "Polmos" (spirits producer) property on Wydawnicza Street at a debt collector's auction for over 9.4 million PLN. The architectural design of the investment has been prepared by Grupa 5 Architekci and Jerzy Lutomski's workshop. It concerns putting to use 29,000 sqm of office and service space: 7,000 sqm in the first stage, 8,700 sqm and 8,100 sqm in the second stage (two new buildings) and 5,000 sqm in the third stage (including a swimming pool and a theater). ■
